FIRST REVIEW!! "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D" for the Nintendo 3DS

In 1998, the world was taken by storm when the original Ocarina of Time was released for the Nintendo 64. OoT was the first 3D Zelda game, and the most successful in the series! Fast forward twelve years to the announcement of an enhanced version of OoT at E3, and you'll find people lining up to get a glimpse of late 90's nostalgia.

"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D" has been released in North America on Father's Day, 2011, to rave reviews from around the Internet. Today, I'll do my own review of the game right here on the site.

First and foremost, I'll get to the graphics of OoT3D. They are two things at once: realistic and nostalgic. I haven't played the original OoT on the N64, but what I would expect from a simple port on the Wii's Virtual Console is nonexistent on the 3DS remake. As I have seen from the graphics comparison at this link: http://vgtribune.com/ocarina-of-time-n64-vs-3ds/ the characters and objects aren't blocky anymore due to the increased polygons from the N64 to the 3DS.

Now, the gameplay. The gameplay has been improved from the N64 version, with all your items, gear, and maps on the touch screen. Instead of throwing the 3D in your face like most of the third-party launch titles do, it adds to the game and helps you judge distances, like what Pilotwings Resort did. Other than that, the gameplay hasn't changed at all.

Here's the lowdown: You play as a boy named Link, who is destined to save the land of Hyrule and reclaim the Triforce from the evil warlock Ganondorf. Your adventure begins in the Kokori Forest, where you have to break a curse inside the Great Deku Tree. Then, your real quest begins as you defeat enemies all over Hyrule.

Overall, this game is perfection in my book. How about I give it a perfect 100% score?
